Dear Continuing Professional Education,I have come to learn over the course of my professional career that obtaining an “undergraduate degree” is necessary to compete in the ever changing world of technology. I have worked as a software developer for approximately ten years. After finishing an Associates degree at a local community college, I decided that the distance learning program at NJIT was the opportunity I needed to complete my educational goals and thus improve my career opportunities. The NJIT distance learning program afforded me the opportunity to work fulltime and attend courses that I normally would not have been able to given time constraints and my work schedule.
I started out seeking my undergraduate degree via the distance learning program at NJIT, I am so completely thrilled with the program, I’ve decided to continue and get my MBA. Let me tell you why.
NJITs Distance Learning program not only offers the obvious benefits over traditional classroom settings, saving time, flexibility with work and personal schedules as well as cost savings of travel, but it offers a truly outstanding educational value for those seeking to further their careers.
I am constantly impressed by the quality and quantity of not just technological skills I am acquiring and use daily, but also the business, finance and marketing skills and education that will spur new opportunities for my career. Since starting out at NJIT I have learned more about current technology and its implementation than I could have ever learned on the job. As the world’s economies become more intertwined, it is increasingly apparent the need to acquire and enhance ones skill set to stay current with market trends.
NJITs Distance Learning program provides the opportunity for non-traditional working adult learners (like me) to continuously improve their knowledge, skills and abilities. I can honestly say that in choosing NJIT and their distance learning program, I have made one of the best career choices for my future.
