Master of Science in Management
At some point in their careers, successful professionals are faced with the prospect of moving into managerial positions as the next logical step in their career progressions. The MSM program was designed to facilitate this transition. t is more focused than is our MBA curriculum through a stronger emphasis on mastery of a clearly defined specialization area.
The range of possible specializations is broad, including: Project Management; Cost Engineering; Technical Marketing; Technological Entrepreneurship; Quality; Facility Management; Manufacturing Systems Management; Management Information Systems; Engineering Management.
Who is this program recommend for?
This program is best suited for people who wish to have more influence in their organizations by moving into managerial positions, but who also desire to retain their allegiance to an area of technical expertise such as MIS.
What will I gain?
The Master of Science in Management is designed to allow students to build specialized knowledge in one of four concentration areas: Management Information Systems, e-Commerce, Organization Management or Management of Technology. Specialized knowledge is augmented with a 15 credit management core that provides the general knowledge needed to manage technical and specialized units.

CPE give you options. In addition to taking courses at NJIT’s Newark campus, you can enroll in online courses. You’ll have access to the same outstanding facilities and professors as full-time NJIT students, plus the flexibility you need to juggle all the aspects of your life.
Prerequisites
Applicants to the Master of Science in Management are required to have earned a bachelor's degree or the equivalent and to achieve an acceptable score on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). Foreign students whose native language is not English are required to take the TOEFL.exam.
Applicants with three years or more years of appropriate business experience may request a waiver of the GMAT.
