Humanities Bridge

Students must take any 3 of the following courses.   At least one course must be ENG 336, ENG 352 or ENG 521 to ensure students have at least one writing course.

  • ENG 360 (Collaborative Communication)
  • ENG 502 (English for International graduate Students)
  • ENG 521 (Technical, Written and Oral Communication)
  • IS/STS 350 (Computers, Society and Ethics)

NJIT's M.S. Information Systems bridge program simplifies it for you, all you need to do is take (9) humanities bridge credits.  If you keep a B or better in your humanities courses and obtain a satisfactory score on the GRE after you have completed the humanities bridge, you are on your way.  Note below are the full requirements to apply.

Who is this Weekend University bridge program recommended for?

The M.S. Information Systems bridge program provides the spring board for overseas students to easily advance toward the full Master’s program.  The full Master’s program offers advanced preparation for anyone interested in systems analysis, software engineering, information and communication technologies, or management of information systems, in any number of industries.

Because an information system is broadly interdisciplinary, this program is suitable for students from any undergraduate background.

CPE gives you options. In addition to taking courses at NJIT’s Newark campus, you can enroll in online courses and attend classes at one of our extension sites located throughout New Jersey. Admission Requirements for MSIS Bridge Program

  • Adults 24 and up
  • US Residency or Green Card
  • GRE or GMAT exam score equivalent to or better than the minimum score required for entrance to the MS-IS program
  • First-Class Bachelors degree from a 3-Year Overseas University
  • A new F1 is required in order to come to NJIT. An F1 will not be granted for admission to this pilot
  • Resume of work experience or letter from employer
  • Other IS-related ancillary courses may be required

International students with TOEFL scores lower than 213 may be required to take specific courses in spoken and written English.
