iOS Application Design

iOS Application Design is a 6-week program designed to teach students how to work with Xcode, the most popular framework for developing, debugging, and deploying applications to Apple devices. This course will focus on the design patterns, coding conventions and guidelines, as well as essential concepts like Model-View-Controller, story boards, and delegation necessary for successful application development and design.

Course Information

First in the three-part Apple Mobile Application Development Certificate series, iOS Application Design provides an introduction to programming skills necessary for authentic app development. The topics covered in this course include Xcode basics, Core iOS and Cocoa Touch frameworks, simple user interface creation, MVC architecture and much more.  Focusing on important Apple components, this course teaches students how to access and use sensors like the camera, microphone and GPS to design and build a basic mobile application.
