This is a fast-paced and intensive course that covers all 10 Knowledge Areas of the Project Management Body of Knowledge® (PMBOK) which is published by the Project Management Institute® (PMI) and is the foundation for the Project Management Professional® (PMP) or the Certified Associate in Project Management® (CAPM) exam. The class emphasizes important terms and concepts that are critical to know for the exams, as well as provide strategies and tips for answering exam questions. At the end of this course students will receive 24 in-class training hours with the option of earning an additional 11 training hours by completing the online quizzes offered through the Crosswind Learning website, which is included in the price of this course, totaling 35 training hours. The PMP® exam requires project management experience; however those without experience can sit for the CAPM® exam which requires no experience and 23 hours of training.
This is a hybrid class, consisting of 2 traditional face-to-face classroom sessions, as well as 2 evening instructor-led online WebEx sessions. Students receive a copy of the PMBOK® as well as the “PMP Exam Success: Bootcamp Manual” by Tony Johnson of Crosswind Learning. Crosswind Learning is a PMI® Registered Education Provider. The manual covers each Knowledge Area of the PMBOK® from an exam-preparation perspective, and includes over 500 exam style practice questions, a number of other exercises to facilitate learning, data flow diagrams for all 47 processes, reference cards for quick review, and other tools for preparation.
With this course, students also get free 6-month access to the Crosswind Learning website which provides almost 500 online sample questions including a 200 question simulated PMP® exam. The website also offers support files for the PMP® application and other study aids. Students will also receive a number of supplementary handouts provided by the instructor to enhance understanding.
This course offers 24 in-class training hours and 11 self-study training hours totaling the necessary 35 hours needed to take both the CAPM and PMP exams.
