Certified Six Sigma Green Belt professionals work on process improvement teams using the DMAIC approach: DEFINE, MEASURE, ANALYZE, IMPROVE, CONTROL. NJIT’s Six Sigma Green Belt course gives you the knowledge, skills and experience needed to use Six Sigma methods and tools, and will help you advance towards Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. This course is based on the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Six Sigma Body of Knowledge, and is taught by an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt instructor.
While this course will prepare students for the ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt exam, it is recommended that you visit the ASQ website to make sure you meet the eligibility requirements to sit for the ASQ CSSGB Exam.
After this course, participants will be able to identify the DMAIC steps of DEFINE, MEASURE, ANALYZE, IMPROVE, CONTROL, and know which tools are used in each of the DMAIC steps. In a work environment, you will know how to apply tools as part of a Six Sigma project team, and understand what outputs should be expected. Special emphasis will be placed on reinforcing statistical concepts for greater understanding of the use of quality tools.
