Six Sigma Green Belt

The Six Sigma Green Belt course is an 8-week program designed to introduce and define each of the Six Sigma steps: Define - Measure - Analyze - Improve - Control. Unlike most Six Sigma courses, this course is taught by an American Society for Quality™ (ASQ) Certified Six Sigma Black Belt instructor, and is designed to provide a comprehensive review of both instruction and application of Six Sigma methods and tools that are necessary to advance towards Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Course Information

The class meets on-campus once a week for 8 hours and provides the knowledge necessary to successfully take the ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt certification exam. Students will be able to identify the Six Sigma steps, know which tools are used in each of the steps, and gain a working knowledge of how to apply these tools as part of a project team. Special emphasis will be placed on reinforcing statistical concepts for a greater understanding of the use of quality Six Sigma tools and what outputs should be expected.

Note: NJIT does not schedule or conduct the certification test this course prepares you for.  Please refer to the ASQ website for further information.
